Cookie 'o' Puss

I just grabbed a slice of pizza for dinner, and decided to hit the nearby (and first!) Carvel store for an ice cream sundae.

While there, I witnessed one of my favorite phenomena: ill-placed and extraneous quotation marks.

The store has numerous signs up, saying:

As you can see here, it really is the original. So why the quotes? It's not to qualify the statement, as in, "Try our new 'all natural' ribs." (On that note, I particularly like when something is "'kosher.'")

Anyway, I'm always amused when I see confusing uses of quotes. Here was one of my favorites:
