Did you know our country achieved racial diversity in 1994?
Over at BTQ, Austin Milbarge has this post about a federal statute that discusses "Indians" and "non-Indians."
I thought this was funny, from the history of the statute:
Amendments:
Sept. 13, 1994, in the first undesignated paragraph, substituted "non-Indian" for "white person". .
Oh, fabulous. It's nice to know we started recognizing that we had more than just "white people" and "Indians" in this country.... .... .... .... in 1994. Sweet.
